General club skills session in the UQ Pool. One of three skills nights for the semester. Don't miss out! HEATED POOL (27 deg.)

A social trip down the river to the West End Markets. We'll stop for some coffee and back to semester get-together. Open to all Saturday morning paddlers, and a chance for members to meet each other. If you aren't able to paddle, please meet us at the markets anyway.

New club members are encouraged to familiarise themselves with a free online resource demonstrating a range of paddling and rescue techniques. Use it to improve your technique and abilities. Great step by step animations and instructions.

An evening barbecue next to the river for all club members. Please come along to kick off the semester. We'll probably end up at Second Degree (aka the Red Room) near the UQ Pizza cafe afterwards.

Want to try kayaking? Do your friends want to try? This is your chance. The beginning of semester come and try day is scheduled for Saturday 27 February, between 8:00 AM and 11 AM. Prospective members are encouraged to come.

The club has a display on Wednesday 24 Feb 2010 as part of the UQ orientation week's Market Day.

The Queensland Government has put out a code of conduct for paddling on the Brisbane River. All members are asked to familiarise themselves with it.

Please take particular note of lighting requirements if you are caught out at night, and also the conduct in regard to ferries arriving or leaving terminals.

This year's club championships are on Saturday afternoon of 10 October at the shed. It will be a fun day with sprints, novelty races and relays, as well as a barbecue at the end. There are also restricted categories for the beginners.

Basic whitewater kayaking techniques at Wivenhoe dam. Your chance to try a bit of whitewater kayaking. Calm water, moving water, and one very optional grade 2 rapid. Don't miss out. Good for other kayaking disciplines.
