Come down in the morning for a social paddle up the river, or join us later at Guyatt Park for a barbeque, drinks and some games! (bocce, giant jenga, cornhole, frisbee, etc.) This event is a chance for new and old members to come along, get to know the club and other members, and discuss any upcoming trips you might be interested in.

New to Paddling? Build your confidence by paddling with more experienced members. Confidence on the River runs on the 4th, 5th week of August and 1st week of September. Mornings or afternoons Mon-Tues. Book your place.

Club induction sessions will be run starting at different times through the morning. Register online now.

Want to try kayaking? Do your friends want to try? This is your chance. The start of semester come and try day is scheduled for Saturday 28th July, from 8:00 AM to 12 noon . Prospective members are encouraged to come.

The canoe club stall will be in the Great court (map) between 10AM and 2PM on Wednesday the 25th of July.

This is usually located along the cloisters of the Forgan Smith building (if you view the Great Court as a "D" shape, then our stall is located in the upper half of the straight line of the "D") near the Merlo coffee shop at the SS&H Library.

Any prospective members, and indeed anyone with even a small interest in kayaking, are invited to come along and meet some of the current members and get a better idea about the club and what it offers.

Club members - please come along and encourage others to join the club, you are MOST welcome!! Pop in anytime to say 'Hi' - or stay for a bit longer (or even the whole time)!

Paddle from Victoria point to Blakesley Anchorage on North Stradbroke Island, via Macleay island. Camp overnight and then return via Lucas Passage and the "secret garden".

A day trip to St. Helena Island in Moreton Bay. We hope to include a tour of the convict settlement on the island (Brisbane's version of Alcatraz island).

An introductory day to Coochiemudlo Island in Moreton Bay to learn basic sea kayak skills at the beach.

A weekend overnight trip camping at Wivenhoe. Saturday we plan a mix of sea kayaks and tippier flatwater boats with a big social aspect and stargazing. Sunday will be more flatwater emphasis. A great social event in nice cool fresh water! Some meals catered!

The last of three general pool training evenings on the UQ pool. Also introductory canoe polo. Learn basic and more advanced paddling and rescue techniques in a clean warm environment. New members don't miss out (open to old members who want to learn or refresh their skills!).
