Sea Kayak training

Regular sea kayaking sessions start on Wednesday March 11 and March 25. These will coincide with the general Wednesday training sessions.

What this is for –

  • Get to know other club members with similar interests and abilities, and form kayaking groups
  • Pick up some tips and techniques from better paddlers and improve your skills
  • Start regular paddling to build fitness and confidence.

Remember the more you improve your skills, fitness, and ability, the more you will get out of trips. As your skills improve, so will the range of potential trips and destinations.

The training sessions may migrate to another day after March 25, depending on the interests of participants. This means those who want to move to Rosco and TK flatwater kayaks can do so on Wednesday afternoons. You are also welcome to use a sea kayak in the handicapped races on alternate Wednesdays.

If you are unable to make Wednesday afternoons, please let us know what times you can make (weekdays – afternoons/mornings).

Meet: 5PM to 5:15PM at the UQ club shed.
