It’s become too dark, so Wed training has shifted to a 4:30 PM (meet) and is now weekly. The final race of this season is this Wednesday (29 Apr). A regular Sunday morning (dawn) paddle is starting (early 5:30 AM).

A weekend trip exploring the Brunswick river and creeks near Brunswick Heads NSW (North of Byron bay).
Night Paddle to Oxley Creek
A night paddle up river to the entrance of Oxley creek. About an hour for dinner at the Park next to Qld canoeing HQ before returning.

General information Details for the 2006 race are available at Qld Canoeing (http://www.canoe.org.au/?Page=8333) The club is interested in entering solo or relay teams. The point is primarily to participate and have fun. As a relay team member you don’t have to do the full 50 – 100 km. Each day is divided into shorter sections ranging from only 8.5 km to a maximum of 13 km. If you feel able to paddle this much, please consider entering. Day 1: Wivenhoe Spillway to Kholo Lagoon. Day 2: Kookaburra Park, Karana Downs to Orleigh Park, West End.

Current Racing SeriesCurrent series | Summer 2009 | Spring 07 | Summer 07 Anyone can come along to these races, provided they are able to paddle 3 km. Handicaps are in place, so we all cross the finish line at about the same time and everyone has a chance to win! Scheduled Wednesday afternoons at 4:45 PM sharp!
Races are open to all club members – using any boat. Must be on the water by 5:00PM Starts 21 Apr 10
