Canoe Polo – Winter Series Competition 2012

UQCC wants to put teams into the Canoe Polo Winter Series Competition this year. It will be held every fortnight in June and July this year. Please contact Jason (pol rep) before May 23 if you want to play.

Sunday every fortnight starting first Sunday of June for 4 Games

The closing date to enter a team is 25 May 2012.
Please make sure you have contacted Jason well before this date (before May 23).

Dates and venues as follows:

  • June 03 – Goan Road, Wyaralong (small creek near Wyaralong Dam towards Boonah)
  • June 17 – Springwood Pool
  • July 01 – Springwood Pool
  • July 15 – Finals – Goan Road, Wyaralong (small creek near Wyaralong Dam towards Boonah)

Duration is approximately 9am-2pm.

UQ Canoe club members must join Qld Canoeing as a Senior Recreational member
in order to compete (ie you must be a member of Australian canoeing for insurance purposes.). This costs ?$30 (3 months) and is payable in addition to the cost of entering $10 levy per player (collected for first Canoe Polo competition per year)). The club will cover the cost of entering a team ($200 per team which the club will cover). Please contact the polo rep for details.

We would like to send 1 or 2 teams into this competition, depending on the numbers we have.

Club members who interested in the sport are welcomed to come have a go at the UQ Aquatic Centre, every Tuesday at 7.15 PM.
