Qualified Club Members

Canoe qualifications and certifications formalise the training of individuals and ensure the skills learned meet accepted standards. Recognised expertise and training is necessary to ensure trips and events are properly organised and run. Qualified members are valuable providers of guidance, training, expertise, and leadership for other club members.

UQCC members are encouraged to undergo training and qualification
It is to the benefit of the club to have members who are competent in the use of club equipment. The club may subsidise the costs of proficiency awards undertaken by any club member, although there is an expectation of providing some instruction to other club members during and following certification.
