Major Website upgrade in progress
The software that runs the site is undergoing a major upgrade. A lot of under the hood things remain to be completed. Don’t expect to see many changes though. At least the site will work properly after this upgrade! After it is working, new things may be added….

Front page glitches – July
Our web host updated their software in July. This broke a few things on the site, most of which are repaired. However we had a few problems posting news to the front page.

Changes to services
Over the next couple of weeks there will be some under-the-hood changes in the way internet services are provided. This may lead to some short term interruptions in services (web/email/gallery/forums/etc)

A new email list system has been set up. You can add yourself to special interest groups, change your email address, or simply check you are on the system.

A new set of options on the left hand menu gives you quick access to various internet services run by the club.

Training section
There is a new training section in the left hand menu (under kayaking). This summarises the various training activities the club undertakes.
Gym exercises for kayaking
Rapid Ascent has a page devoted to gym exercises designed to increase kayak strength. A link is on the club’s links page.
Photo site migrated to new host
The photos.uqcanoeclub.net subdomain has migrated successfully to a new web host. Additional subdomains with software upgrades or new services will come online in the near future.
