Beginners evening

Just a quick one to say that the next two weeks are going to be beginners evenings, and from next week (3rd May) we will be starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 9pm.

Paddle Session 7-9am Sat 23rd April

Hey All,

I will be running the beginners paddle session from the Canoe Club shed tommorrow morning. Just drop in and have a paddle. We’ll all head out for about 40mins from about 7:45am

Sea Kayak Navigation

[Note this is an old posting from 2005, not 2006 -ed.] Meet at the Shed THURSDAY 21st April at 7 AM for an introductory lesson in Sea Kayak Navigation.

We will conclude blackboard and chart studies at 8 AM, afterwhich an on-water activity is available if you can stay a second hour until 9AM. “Homework” will be assigned for you to practice over the next month, and you may be reassessed Thursday 19th May in an on-water excercise.

Whitewater Easter Trip

[Note that this is an OLD 2005 posting – ed.]

I have decided to run the trip to Goolang Ck in the week following the
Easter Weekend (Uni Hols). The plan is to spend the first two days on
Goolang improving your skills, learning to paddle rapids etc… Then we
will look at the water levels and decide whether it is worth heading
over to the Nymboida for the last day or two, or just heading home.
