I have decided to run the trip to Goolang Ck in the week following the
Easter Weekend (Uni Hols). The plan is to spend the first two days on
Goolang improving your skills, learning to paddle rapids etc… Then we
will look at the water levels and decide whether it is worth heading
over to the Nymboida for the last day or two, or just heading home.
**IMPORTANT**
Those who can’t make the Friday can join us on Saturday, let me know if
you are still keen!
– The Plan –
Friday April 1
– 7-8am Depart Brisbane for Grafton
– Midday Arrive Goolang, set up camp, have lunch
– Afternoon Whitewater skills refresher and update
– Campfire etc
Saturday April 2
– Breakfast
– More Skills
– Lunch
– Paddle the whole length of Goolang (8kms)
– Decide whether to stay or head home
Either Drive back to Brissie or Nymboida – Codhole or Junction pool
Campsite
Sunday April 3
– Breakfast
– Get on Nymboida
– Dinner
– Requirements –
To come along on this trip, you must be able to Eskimo Roll in a calm
pool! If you can’t roll yet, and want to come, get hold of me! You can
go to the Pool on Tuesday (22nd Mar) at 8pm, I will be there.

Max # of 8 people for Goolang – First come, First Served
Max # of 4 people for Nymboida
– Transport –
We will work this out together, those who are keen to come along, reply
to me, let me know if you can drive, and we’ll work it out.
– Costs –
The club will not charge for the trip, but you must cover your own
costs!
Food – up to you, we may decide to cook together
Camping – approx $8 per night
Transport – Drivers, this is up to you! But we usually just split petrol
costs. Ends up around $50 per person if the car isn’t huge.
