Sea Kayaking

Sea kayaking in the University of Queensland Canoe Club started in late 2000. It now has a fleet of ten fully equipped single kayaks and one double kayak, available for members to use. Sea kayaking is a superb recreational past-time for the Brisbane region due to its consistent and moderate climate, and multitude of very accessible paddling destinations.

The storage capacity of the sea kayaks makes them the kayak of choice for camping trips in the bay or along the many rivers of the region. Take a look at planned and past flatwater and sea kayak trips to see some of the places members have explored.
