Trip leadership training weekend

Leadership/Qualification training by a certified sea kayak instructor. Part of a Queensland Government training grant.

A two day training program for a few selected club members looking towards sea kayak qualifications such as sea guide, sea leader, or sea skills. You need a good eskimo roll (in sea kayaks) and surf experience is desirable.You will need to plan and lead a club trip later in semester as part of this training.

This training event is made possible due to a 2012 Queensland Government Grant (Department of Communities) to improve club leadership depth. The grant was part of the department’s Sport and Recreation Inclusion Program (Club support category).
