Kayaking in the ocean and on lakes and rivers attracts an element of risk. Always follow the Queensland Transport boating safety regulations as covered on their website and in the official guide.
The club provides important items of safety equipment Class 2 PFDs, flare kits, bilge pumps and backup split paddles.
Make sure you check the The Bureau of Meteorology website is an excellent resource.

The club has a stall at UQ market day in the Great Court. Drop by and meet club members and find out about the club.
Interested in the Club? Non members can come along and go for a short paddle on the river and see what the club has to offer. Includes a barbecue.
Your chance to paddle small canoe polo boats at the UQ Pool. The water is heated! Change rooms and showers available. Cost $10 towards pool hire.
Our start of semester induction day to help progress new into the club.
A social paddle to the West End Markets. A chance to catch up with members and meet new ones, do some browsing/shopping and take in some food, caffeine, West End vibe, and maybe music. Back around midday / Lunch. Arrive on time!
