BV100 Fun(d)raiser 7-8th October

The Brisbane Valley 100 is on again. The club wants to enter teams. If you can paddle 9-13 km, then you may have what it takes! This is about participation, not racing – the river below Wivenhoe is amazing.

The Brisbane Valley 100 is a race from Wivenhoe Dam to West End over 2 days. Its up to 50kms per day, on some really beautiful stretches of river. We are trying to get some NON competitive teams to participate.

The purpose of the team is participation, the teams will not be looking for results and people will not be put under pressure to beat any other teams, the focus is participation. There is also the Half BV which is only paddling on 1 day, and you can choose which day.

Each day is divided into 5 legs, and you can change paddlers at each checkpoint. The longest leg is 12km so this is the most you will have to paddle before you can take a break.

The entry fee is $100 per person. BUT………You can get sponsorship for most of it. You have to pay $25 yourself and you can get other people to sponsor you for the other $75, AND the $75 goes towards helping kids with cancer (Camp Quality). Entry is cheaper for the Half BV.
