Join the flotilla of vessels cruising down the river between the city and the Powerhouse. The second River Pride Parade is part of the annual Melt Festival and last year there was a lot of support from across the community, government and business. While it is a celebration of LGBTQIA+ communities and allies, the odd fireworks, flags, and cheering, it is also a paddle along the river. It’s not often we kayakers get to be part of a parade – come show your support!
You need to organise your place by registering soon (by the 22nd October) with the Melt Organisers using their website. They need time to send you some support materials!

The Parade is from Kangaroo Point to the Powerhouse (this is shorter due to being paddlecraft). However, we may do our own paddle earlier prior to the starting point (and depending on tides).
