Sea Kayak Training in the Pool

Sea Kayaking is taking over the pool on Monday 22nd May.

We will be learning and practicing various rescues.

  • Wet exits (for those that need to or want to practice) – required for sea kayaking
  • Assisted Rescues
    • T-Rescue (this is need for trips)
    • Wedge Rescue
    • Scoop Rescue
  • Self Rescues
    • John Wayne / Cowboy
    • Paddle Float Rescue
    • Paddle Float Roll
    • Rolling (depending on time)
  • Other skills if we have time or you have the interest!

Cost: $10 toward pool hire costs (same as all pool activities)

Time: 6:45 – 9:00 PM at the UQ Pool (for information see the Canoe Polo Page). Please be on time.
HELPING: If you can make it earlier, please meet us at the Club shed to help load boats and gear as we need to take boats to the pool. Meet time 6:15 PM at the Shed if you can.
