The 2011 Annual General Meeting of the canoe club will be held at the club shed from 1:00 PM on Sunday 5th of June. We need plenty of financial members to come along to this important annual meeting.
The insurance claim has progressed and we are looking to sell badly damaged boats for salvage value as organised with our insurers.

The club is slowly getting back to the water after the floods. This Saturday the 21st May, we will have our first river paddle. This is for members from the past couple of years who have renewed for this year.

CANCELLED DUE TO FLOOD DAMAGE: The Brisbane Valley 100 is on again in 2011. A 100 km FUN race over two days down the upper Brisbane river.

Due to the small number of boats available, the club is restarting paddling slowly, with renewing members rejoining first, then new members who have experience, followed by new beginners later (from July 2011). Come and try sessions are postponed.

Rosco Canoes is having some demo days where you can try out boats for yourself, or potentially for the club. This is a great chance to compare boats.
A social paddle to the West End Markets. A chance to catch up with members and meet new ones, do some browsing/shopping and take in some food, caffeine, West End vibe, and maybe music. Back around midday / Lunch. Arrive on time!
Spend a day in Moreton Bay paddling around Coochiemudlo Island learning or refreshing the basics of Sea Kayaking including rescue techniques and safety.
Our semester trip to Wivenhoe Dam to try out all the tippy boats in nice clean fresh water. A great social day out to push your limits and improve your skills. Optional barbecue.
A day paddling in Moreton Bay to Green and St. Helena Islands. Possibly around St. Helena depending on conditions and the group.
A multi-disciplinary day building on introductory trips. A chance to practice and learn new skills. Details and registration will be posted in due course.
