An end of year paddle up the river to Sir John Chandler park at Long Pocket.
We will have a car going to the park to carry food and refreshments. Non-paddlers welcome if you can get there another way. We are not sure if we will have a barbecue there as this will depend on fire restrictions.
Food: Please bring a plate – we’re hoping this is a chance to display a bit of your national pride and perhaps theme it according to the nationality of which you are most proud! There will be a small gas barbecue available (possibly a larger council one?).
Secret Santa: Bring an anonymous (wrapped) gift of a value up to $20. This goes into the Secret Santa bag from which participants can choose one of the gifts. If you are unfamiliar with this version of secret santa, please ask beforehand – don’t miss out because you don’t know what it is! In this version a limited amount of stealing is allowed…
Boats: Any that you can make do the distance safely!
Date: Sunday 1st December 2019
Meet: Club shed at 10 AM.
Finish: Around 2 -3 PM, although some may continue in a less formal social capacity.
