Olympic paddler Amanda Rankin will help improve club members' paddling skills, whether beginners or more advanced. Entries close 17 March.

A weekly two hour after-work night paddle up or down the river starts Wednesday 02 May at 7:15 PM
Looking for a paddle in the evenings but it's too dark? Do you have trouble getting to the Uni for afternoon paddles due to work? Maybe you just like the idea of paddling under the stars and city lights. For the next month or few, we are running a weekly night paddle on Wednesday evenings.
Duration: 1 - 2 hours
Meeting time: 7:15 PM sharp
Distance: 7-14 km (depending on speed, time, and ability)
Location: University of Queensland building 30 - UQ Canoe club boat shed

For the month of August there will be weekly morning paddle sessions on the river, paddling at 7 AM. This is to give new members a chance to build skills, but is open to all.
A weekly Wednesday afternoon paddle is starting at 4:30 PM. This will operate as long as there is interest (so make sure to go along if you want a weekly paddle).
An overnight trip up the Noosa river into the Cooloola region of the Great Sandy National Park north of Noosa.
Weekend for members training to become flatwater coaches.
A weekend camping trip to Brunswick Heads (next to Byron Bay). We will have access to beaches and to flatwater. This is a social end of year trip for everyone.
A training / paddle day at Wivenhoe Dam. This is a day trip. We will be based at one point within the recreation area to practise paddling and staying 'upright' in racing kayaks.
A flatwater training session is planned for this Saturday morning at the club shed.
