Olympic paddler Amanda Rankin from Queensland Canoeing Inc will help improve club members' paddling skills, for beginners and more advanced. Entries close 16 June.

UQCC wants to put teams into the Canoe Polo Winter Series Competition this year. It will be held every fortnight in June and July this year. Please contact Jason (pol rep) before May 23 if you want to play.

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of the canoe club will be held at the UQ pizza cafe from 6:30 PM on Wednesday 23rd of May. We need plenty of financial members to come along to this important annual meeting.

A year ago today the club returned to the water following the devastating floods of January 2010.

Green Island is surrounded by banks and at high tide turtles and other sea life is common. It's a pleasant trip and will probably take about 4-5 hours including breaks.

A long weekend at Nymboida canoe centre (near Grafton in NSW) with a qualified instructor. Entries close 20th April.

An overnight sea kayak training/camping trip on the Gold Coast with a qualified instructor. Entries close 31st March.

A social trip to the markets for breakfast and shopping.

Polo starts weekly starting this Tuesday April 3

The club has club development grants for training for each semester of 2012. Get applications in at least a two weeks before any training trip.
