A weekend at Somerset lake practicing skills in all types of kayaks.

Full Details
Destination: Somerset lake
Duration: 2 days Date: 20 - 21 March 2010

Kayak type: all
Purpose: training
Accommodation: Camping (the club has some camping gear if you have none - contact organiser)
Meet: Club shed
Depart: 7:30 AM Saturday morning
Return: Before 3 PM, Sunday
Food: This will be catered (breakfast, 2x lunch, and dinner). Please let the organiser know of food requirements. You will need to contribute to shared food costs. BYO drinks. Of course you can bring something nice extra...
Costs: Petrol money. Food money (about $5-$15). Camping ($10 per person per night)

Planning session: Please come along to the next Pool skills session on Tuesday evening 16th March (7:45 PM at UQ pool) to discuss details and transport arrangements

Basic Requirements

  • Basic fitness (if water based activity)
  • You must be a current financial member to participate (except for come and try events). Polo is open to members of Australian canoeing (i.e. members of most AC affiliated canoe clubs).
  • You must be able to swim (if event takes place on water)
  • You must have signed the club waiver and agreed to abide by the club's rules
