Green Island is surrounded by banks and at high tide turtles and other sea life is
common. It’s a pleasant trip and will probably take about 4-5 hours including breaks.
Full Details
We will depart from Manly Harbour on the bay. We will aim to leave about 2.5 hours before high tide (2pm) and go anticlockwise stopping for a late lunch on Green Island. Safety: Sea kayaking on Moreton Bay can be hazardous. If conditions are unfavourable we will kayak up Tingalpa Creek instead.

Meet: 10 am at the UQ Canoe Club to load kayaks. Depart before 10.30am and drive to Manly. Aim to be on the water at 1130.am. Tides: High tide is at 2.14 pm Registration: Please register your interest with the leader by email (first come first served). Please indicate whether you have transport and if you have roof racks for kayaks. If you have not kayaked with the leader before please give some indication of your skills level to assist planning.
